Footsteps in the snow...

Who knows where they came from... I didn't make them. Maybe my father.. but no, he's been inside for a while now. I examine the footprints... Couldn't be my sisters or brothers: the prints were too large. Perhaps it was my mother. But she dosn't have shoes of that type. I search the streets, looking for a face. But the night is quiet, and no one stirs. The snow still falls softly around me. I wonder who it could be. I walk back inside and make myself a cup of tea. As I wait for the kettle to whistle, I continue to ponder the footsteps. What if it was an angel?

Very interesting post! I would have followed the foot steps for a little ways... But that's just me.

I'm not sure if angels wear shoes, though. I seem to recall them being barefooted or with sandals - which would have a flat sole. I could of course recall incorrectly, though :)

ah, yes, but what about the verse that goes "you may be entertaining angels unawares".... if i've been entertaining angels, they sure had shoes on.

I'm not sure why an angel would simply make tracks in the snow, though.

well, this post is not necessarily for arguing over. it was more of a muse.... but to answer you: no one knows the will of God, so one cannot clearly make that judgement as to why an angel was there...

this was more of just a thought process.. that ended abruptly.

I realize that; I did not mean to be argumentative but simply contemplative.

Yes, only God knows what His will is. Whatever He does is perfect; we are imperfect; we do not understand His ways.

Interesting... I think that angels appear in many different forms. I know several people who see angels occasionally, and apparently they sometimes look like people and sometimes like angels. I hear they're between 8 and 12 feet tall... so it's possible that those were the footsteps of an angel. Great photography, by the way.
